Thomas Street
Intended to be a log of our permaculture design experiment here at the wonderful thomas street residence, now seemingly a campaign to save our beautiful organic edible garden, promote sustainable living and ask the big question: Should tenants have the right to grow food where they live?

If that's vandalism then in both the gardening sense and as the Americans say, one would have to "root for the Vandals".
Tenants should be able to install veggie gardens as long as all they are ripping up is silly old lawn.
Can you contact a conventional gardener, obtain a quote for restoring the place to lawn and send that amount off to the bond board? Would that pacify the landlord? You could hold another open day to raise the funds.
"You cannot do it without consent... it's just vandalism.... It's not like it's just a pot plant."
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Does "a pot plant" mean the same thing to Australians that it does to Canadians? If so, it's a bit like complaining of a tenant opening a business in a building without the consent of the owner and saying "It's not llike it's just a meth lab.'
djeb,
'pot plant' just means a plant in a pot. sorry, i hate it when reality is more mundane than a misunderstanding!
Ah. A potted plant. I see.
I had the same thing happen by not realising that a "fanny pack" does not mean "belt pouch" to Australians.
