SITUATION UPDATE

Yesterday we called the real estate agent managing our place to follow up on our request that we'd really really love for our landlords to contact us in the hope we can get together ASAP to put our heads together and work out some arrangement that works for us all. The agent wasn't in so we left a message and she called us back this morning. She explained that though the landlords would prefer not to deal with us directly (the way they see it, that's why they have an agent), they do have our letter, they are considering what we've said, and they should hopefully get back to us (via the agent) today or tomorrow. The agent also mentioned that the landlords don't want us to leave, they just want to know what's going to happen when we do leave, which of course is more than fair enough. So though we may not get to talk with the landlords directly, this would seem to be promising news, and we'll keep you posted as events unfold.
